Credentials:

Led by Kaleigh Lewis, a skilled swim instructor with a master's degree in occupational therapy and background in collegiate swimming, your child will receive high-quality, expert instruction.

Using principles of OT and psychology, Kaleigh creates a gradual, positive learning environment to build your child's confidence & water safety skills. Kaleigh will focus heavily on building rapport & trust with your child through age-appropriate play and regulation.

Each lesson is tailored to your child's unique needs. Through appropriate, "just-right" challenges, your child will grow in both confidence & skill. Kaleigh will use her professional expertise to work through any challenges limiting swim skill progression.

Kaleigh prides herself on meeting clients where they are at - physically, mentally, & emotionally - to ensure kids feel safe, heard, and understood through all swimming challenges.

Children learn best when they’re having fun. Play is, after all, a child’s primary way of engaging with the world. In every session, Kaleigh is dedicated to bringing smiles & laughter to your child. This approach helps build trust & connection, creates positive associations with water, and fosters an environment where new skills can flourish.

A hands-on, individualized approach ensures your child receives full attention & the right level of assistance during each lesson, making learning more efficient and enjoyable. No more waiting on the sidelines - your child will be actively engaged & effectively motivated to make progress every minute of every lesson!
Mind & Motion's Learn to Swim Program is offered through our partnership with Delta College and their Fitness Center. Their state-of-the-art facility features a pool with lap lanes, a zero-entry & swim feature area, a lazy river, a hot tub, and a slide. This facility supports swim instruction for all ages and abilities while accommodating various needs. Thank you Delta College!

The Learn to Swim Program follows these goal areas which are rooted in the principles of occupational therapy and psychology to support a well-rounded approach to your child's learning. Kaleigh prioritizes three key areas: mental skills, physical skills, and safety skills, ensuring each is given equal importance throughout the swimming experience. She understands how these areas interconnect and influence one another through a child's development - especially when developing new skills.
By focusing on these areas, Kaleigh will help your child develop confidence, coordination, and safety in the water.
